What does it really cost to have your day covered?
Choosing photography on its own, or photos and video together? Here are my actual starting prices and what each package gives you. You can see the numbers, compare the coverage and decide what feels right for your day.
These are Weddings By Mark prices, not a claim about the Manchester market average. The packages page has the latest inclusions and extras if anything changes after this guide was updated. I’m taking bookings for 2027, and also for 2028 and 2029.
My wedding photography and video prices at a glance
Photography starts at £475 for a shorter day. Full-day photography starts at £699, and full-day photography plus a highlight video starts at £899. The options below show what changes as you move up, so you can choose the memories you want to keep.

Half day photography

Four hours, covering arrivals through ceremony and reception moments, with at least 300 edited photographs. Guest QR uploads are not included in Bronze.
Silver · full day
Photography
£699
Eight hours of photography, 600+ edited images and free guest QR uploads so friends and family can add photos and clips to your gallery.
Gold · full day
Photography + highlight video
£899
Everything in Silver, plus a cinematic highlight video of around 5–7 minutes. Free guest QR uploads are included.
Platinum · full day
Photography + more video
£1,350
Everything in Gold, plus full ceremony and speeches videos. It keeps the words as well as the atmosphere, with free guest QR uploads included.
Ultimate · full day
Photography + video, booth & albums
£1,799
Everything in Platinum, plus the selfie booth and three luxury wedding albums. Free guest QR uploads are included here too.
Full-day timing: Current packages cover eight hours or until just after the first dance, whichever comes first. Extra hours are available. Use the live packages page for the exact details before booking.

A real wedding, in photos and video

Why do wedding photography quotes vary?
Hours on the wedding day are only part of it. Preparation, editing, backup equipment, secure delivery, insurance and experience all affect a quote. Adding video or albums changes the work after the wedding too. A higher price doesn’t automatically mean a better fit, and a lower one doesn’t automatically mean a problem; look at what is included and how you feel about the photographer’s real wedding work.
Ask to see a full wedding gallery, not only a handful of favourites. Look at the ceremony, family moments, a dark reception room and the dance floor. That gives you a much better idea of what you’ll receive.
Check the small print
- How many hours are included, and what happens if the day runs late?
- Do you receive full-resolution downloads and printing rights?
- When is the edited gallery normally ready?
- What happens if a camera or storage card fails, or the photographer becomes ill?
- Are video, albums, travel and extra hours included or quoted separately?
What you get with Weddings By Mark
I work in a relaxed, documentary way: most of the day is captured as it happens, with a short window for family groups and natural portraits. You get to spend the day with your people. I’ve photographed weddings professionally for 19 years and offer both photography and hybrid highlight video options.
Your edited gallery is normally ready in 3–5 working days, with high-resolution downloads. Every full-day package includes the guest QR upload code. Your guests add their own pictures and clips, giving you extra angles alongside my photographs.
Deposits shown on the current packages page are £100 for Bronze, Silver and Gold, and £150 for Platinum and Ultimate. Check the package details for extras and current terms.
How to pick a package without overpaying
Start with the part of the day you would be sad to miss. If you are having a short ceremony and a small reception, four hours may tell the story well. If getting ready, speeches and the start of the dancing all matter, a full day is usually a better fit. If hearing the vows and speeches again matters to you, compare Platinum with Gold: Gold includes a highlight video, while Platinum also keeps the ceremony and speeches in full.
Think about who you want in the photographs too. A busy family list takes time, so keep the groups that you will actually print and give someone the job of gathering people. That protects the candid parts of the day you hired me for. If you are torn between packages, tell me the venue and your rough running order; I can explain what each would cover without pushing you towards the most expensive one.
Do not compare only the number of edited images. Ask what the files look like across a full wedding, how you download them, whether family can share them, and what happens after the day. Those details have value long after the wedding is over.

Is video included in every package?
No. Bronze and Silver are photography packages. Gold adds a highlight video; Platinum also includes full ceremony and speeches videos. Ultimate adds the booth and albums.
Do full-day packages include guest QR uploads?
Yes. Silver, Gold, Platinum and Ultimate include them free. The shorter Bronze package does not.
When will we receive our photos?
The edited gallery is normally delivered in 3–5 working days. There is an optional 48-hour delivery extra on the packages page.
How do we know whether our date is free?
