Fairytale Peckforton Castle Wedding Photography

Fun & Fairytale Wedding at Peckforton Castle

When you drive through the gatehouse and see the towers of Peckforton Castle rising above the Cheshire forest, you know you are in for a special day. Jade and Nick’s wedding was the perfect example of why this is one of the most sought-after luxury venues in the UK.

As a Peckforton Castle wedding photographer, I have shot here many times, but there was something truly electric about the atmosphere for Jade and Nick’s celebration. It wasn’t just the grandeur of the setting; it was the pure emotion and fun that filled every room.

The Morning: Calm in the Castle

Jade got ready in the bridal suite, which offers incredible light for those morning portraits. The stone walls and high windows create a mood you just don’t get at modern hotels. We kept things relaxed and documentary-style, capturing the nerves, the laughter, and the champagne toasts without any forced posing.

The Ceremony: The Great Hall

There are few places in the North West as dramatic as the Great Hall at Peckforton. With the stained glass windows and the candlelight, it sets a serious mood.

Capturing Jade walking down that long aisle was a highlight of the day. Using my hybrid photography approach, I was able to snap the key photos while also capturing audio snippets of the vows for their highlight film—all without getting in the way of the guests.

Portraits: Drama & Romance

After the ceremony, we stole away for 15 minutes to make the most of the castle grounds. The drawbridge and the surrounding forest are iconic spots for Peckforton Castle wedding photography.

Jade and Nick were natural in front of the camera. We didn’t do hours of stiff posing; we just took a walk, let them enjoy a moment of quiet as newlyweds, and let the incredible architecture do the rest. The result? Timeless, cinematic portraits that look like they belong in a magazine.

The Party

The evening reception was where the party really started. The lighting in the Hexagonal Room is fantastic for dramatic first dance shots, and once the music kicked in, the dancefloor was packed.
