Located in Betws-y-Coed, Hafod Farm is the ultimate choice for a relaxed, festival-style wedding. It features a tall, rustic barn for your ceremony and cottages on-site for getting ready. Why I love shooting here: It’s surrounded by trees and stone walls, giving you that proper “rustic” texture in your photos. It’s laid back, unpretentious, and perfect for my documentary style. Technically sitting right on the Wrexham/Chester border, this is a favorite for couples who want luxury and convenience. The standout feature here is the Asian Sensory Garden. Why I love shooting here: The gardens are incredibly unique. With the Japanese bridge, the lake, and the thatched gazebo, we can get a huge variety of creative shots without ever leaving the party. If you want a marquee wedding where you can put your own stamp on everything, Clawdd Offa in Flintshire is fantastic. It’s a dedicated marquee venue set in open countryside. Why I love shooting here: The space! Because it’s a marquee venue, there’s so much natural light flooding in, which is a dream for candid photography. Plus, the outdoor space is great for drone shots and big group photos.
5. Rossett Hall Hotel (The Georgian Classic)
A stunning Grade II listed Georgian mansion in Wrexham. Rossett Hall blends history with a modern twist. It feels secluded and private, despite being easy to get to. Why I love shooting here: The wrought-iron gates and the secluded gardens make for timeless, elegant portraits. It works beautifully for winter weddings too, as the interior is cosy and grand.
