If there is one word to describe Katie and Matthew’s wedding at The Oak Tree of Peover this month, it was FUN. From the moment I arrived until the final dance, the air was filled with absolute, unbridled laughter. It was one of those days where my camera was constantly clicking because someone, somewhere, was always mid-giggle!

Oak Beams and Big Smiles The ceremony set the tone for the whole day. While there were plenty of heart felt moments under those stunning oak beams, it was the smiles and the joyful energy between Katie and Matthew that stole the show.

As a wedding photographer, I live for those “real” moments—the shared jokes at the altar and the triumphant walk back up the aisle as husband and wife.

Exploring the Grounds (Between the Jokes! & the barrage of wind and rain) We headed out into the Cheshire country grounds for some portraits around the the lake,. Katie and Matthew made my job incredibly easy; their connection is so natural that I didn’t have to “pose” them—I just had to keep up with the laughter! We captured some epic shots against the ancient oaks that perfectly balance that romantic rustic vibe with the pure joy of the day.

The Ultimate Party Atmosphere The wedding breakfast in the Ladybird Room was a riot. Between the hilarious speeches and the “table dash” photos, there wasn’t a quiet moment. It’s weddings like this that remind me why I love being a Cheshire wedding photographer—being surrounded by such high energy and happy people makes for the best photos (and a great day at the office!).
